I have recently added a RSS feed as a way of giving visitors updates on a 3,000 page rollout of my newspaper obituary directory site , with the option to get the feed to their email Inbox.
I used Feedburner (Google) to set it up, because I know little about RSS and the setup was user-friendly and simple.
I would like to know if any of you know of a user-friendly alternative to feedburner as the email updates being sent by Feedburner:
1
have a link to get people to sign up to the Google Reader larger (in font size) than the subject header of the email.
2
A ridiculous offer to unsubscribe to the updates by mailing (yes, snail mail)a letter to a Google address in Chicago.
There are a bunch of services that market themselves as FeedBurner alternatives. I don't know how many of them offer the e-mail option that FeedBurner does.
This is a short list of services I've heard about. I haven't tried any of them, so this is not an endorsement by any means. Not all of these are free either.
