I'm looking to display a quick line or two on my site's homepage showing today's holidays. By holidays, I mean nation holidays/observances, such as 4th July: Indepedence day in USA, etc.
I found this one: [qppstudio.net...]
but it displays extra lines containing an advertisement for the site (fair enough I suppose, they ARE providing the feed free).
Is there any way to use this and remove the extra text, or does anyone know of any other simpler feeds with antional holidays?
Is it even morally 'allowed' to snip selected text from a feed?
Thanks,
Dan

That site is pretty authoritative for holiday/date information. If you want to use their information you have to follow their guidelines. I think a lot of places use this data.
