OK, I'm looking for some help here...
I have well over 20,000 images on one of my sites, (maintained under a pen name), now they are starting to get pinned, unfortunately Pinterest only links to the page or sub-page the images are on. I would like to use the .htaccess file to redirect the link from Pinterest to a sub-page that would provide a welcome statement and then redirect the visitor to the root index.html file.
I could insert the "no-pin" in each and every page and have a complete re-write of all the 5,798 htm(l) files that incorporate the "no-pin" statement ready to integrate, but something makes me think that Pinterest could help drive traffic.
Attempts I have made seem not to work. Or does it only work with pins after I've modified the htaccess file?
I know someone else in here must have tinkered with this, if you found a successful method using the htaccess file, please share it.
Cordially,
Gerry
