How To Increase Web Traffic With Pinterest

I've been using Pinterest for a while and I discovered (according to google analytics) that it is one effective source of website traffic. I would like to ask for any suggestions from you guys on how can I improve my campaign on Pinterest and what are the effective strategies that I can use to gain more followers. My niche is on technology.

It isn't for me. More than 40.000 photos "stolen" by Pinterest and its users generate less than 100 visitors per day. That is for a website with more than 65.000 visitors (organic traffic only) per day.

Pinterest is a great traffic source for some websites especially if your website is rich in images. Gaining followers in this kind platform is similar to other social media sites like Facebook. Basically you have to stay active. This includes making your followers happy by pinning visually appealing images. You can also contribute by pinning at other people's board, following users with same interests as you, adding comment on other pin and mentioning/tagging other people on Pinterest.

Other ways could be adding a pin it button on your blog and connecting your other social media account such as Facebook and Twitter. Through other social networks like Twitter and Facebook, you can also ask your fans/followers if they have an account in Pinterest and you can connect with them.
