Problem with Internet Explorer 6.0 and PHP Cookies

I have a PHP application which allows members to log in and their information is saved and retrieved from a MySQL database.

People cannot log in using Internet Explorer 6.0, but have no problem logging in with Firefox and Internet Explorer 7.0.

This is the only cookie I use on the site. Does anyone else know of this problem with PHP Cookies and IE 6?

Hmmm wouldn't have thought so. What's the error? Does IE6 just return nothing? Have you tried using PHP Sessions in your URLs as well as cookies?

No errors are reported. It just does nothing and the user cannot log in.

I tried using session variables, but they never work for me. LOL. The cookie was a substitute for the session variables, but I would like the cookie to store the info for later logging.

See now I also thought that PHP Sess never worked for me til I realised that they're cookie based too! They are only entered into the URL when the user's browser can't accept cookies. I think you should try it out, because you can also store data within the session. Instead of doing $_COOKIE, do you $_SESSION

No, I do not set the domain or path for cookie. Would that help?
