Flagship Smartphones Being Launched

Some of the big manufacturers of phones are releasing flagship smartphones right now, and in the coming weeks.
Obviously, these things are devised and produced on a long schedule, but, I really cannot see many people buying a new smartphone right now, unless they really do need a new phone.

Sales of many luxury items is tanking due to Covid-19. But I could see an exception for smartphones and tablets now with the lockdowns in place in many countries and the need to have face-to-face contact in a digital way.

I guess it depends on how, physically, they are sold. A marketing model that involves standing in long lines overnight is obviously going to be less successful than one based on direct-to-home delivery.
