I have a question, haven't done anything with smart phones but I have an idea for a app. I'd need the ability to scan and read a UPC code - is there anything out there that does this? Did a bit of research couldn't find anything.

i would assume that most smartphones have apps available for that - certainly android and iphone.

Apps to read UPC codes? I couldn't find anything on it. Do you have a link to any documentation? My app would be a bit more involved but need that feature.

sorry i was thinking bar codes and qr codes. you probably want OCR API/app - it looks like those are also now available. e.g. cardmunch...
