Opera says users can now buy Bitcoin and Ethereum with Apple Pay or a Debit Card.

In the US, Opera is partnering with Wyre, a US cryptocurrency-brokerage firm, to enable easy and secure crypto-purchases directly from the browser’s crypto wallet. Opera Android users in the US can now buy BTC and ETH using a debit card. iOS users can simply use Apple Pay.

I think Bitcoin is going in the wrong direction with this.

My bank card currently has a good amount of four different currencies but I can't add any bitcoin, for example.

It's just semantics perhaps but I'd rather "convert" cash from my bank account than "buy" with a 3rd party card.

Good progress from Opera, imho.
I imagine, right at this time, new currencies might struggle to gain a foothold, with the usual fallback of gold being the only positive prospect, even though that's been under pressure.
Challenging times.

As long as America insists on forcing the world to trade with it's petrol dollars, I don't see any new or currently existing currencies gaining any ground in the markets any time soon.
New currency is just more or less a hobby at this point
