I updated to Vivaldi 1.9.818.44 last night and the default search engine (when using text entered into the url box at the top - not the search box) is now us.yahoo ... which was a bit of an annoying change!

not the end of the world of course.

I've yet to find any major problems, so that's a minor irritation, topr8.
There's a dropdown that means you can switch back to a selection of others, but, yes, that is annoying.
I'm currently on V 1.9.818.50

yes, i'm on ..... 50 now as well, it's been a while since this post.
oh and i love Vivaldi as a browser, it's my first choice, certainly for personal use.

yes i know that, in the search box (and a handy feature that is too)!
i was meaning by typing a search term directly into the address box (there is no drop down there, you have to go into settings to change the SE there).

If your search settings changed that's because you weren't paying attention when updating. They do one of those sneakaroos where you have to click or unclick a button in order to prevent them from adding a toolbar or switching your default search engine.
