Opera 25 Beta was released, and it's now got its upgraded bookmarks! Opera describes it as the way to bookmark things, or graphical bookmarks, instead of just links.

The future of Opera bookmarks arrives to our freshly renamed Opera beta channel (formerly known as Opera Next). With Opera beta 25 we introduce a new way to experience bookmarks. Instead of just marking the page you can choose an image to go with it. With Opera bookmarks you are collecting “things” not just “links”.Opera 25 Beta Released, Now With Graphical Bookmarks [blogs.opera.com]

Version 25 is now a stable release and it FINALLY has proper bookmarks back! (First time since v12!)

I'm still on 12.x. Is Opera 25x ever going to make it worthwhile to upgrade? Bookmarks alone won't do it for me.

I finally switched because so many things were no longer usable under 12.x

But it still is not as polished as the 12 series, imo.

Aleksandr - what specific advantages do you like from Opera?

For me, the main reason I use it is that it has the most reliable "save page as" function. A page saved with Opera will almost always render exactly like the live page, whereas I do not find this to be true for other browsers if the page is pulling scripts in complex ways (older asynchronous loading schemes, CDNs sometimes, etc).

Other than that, I have just never been able to really like Opera. It's fine. Excellent in fact. Just never quite becoming my favorite.

Try wasting your time by dragging a short-cut to the desktop w/ the new opera!

I just like seeing how many short-cuts can fit on a desktop ;}
