Acid 3 100/100, great and all however it's Presto 2.3 that will had a vector graphics library named Vega. In short the version after Opera 10 (10.2, 10.5, or whatever) will finally see some decent CSS3 support. Selectors can effectively be emulated by a serverside language however properties can not.

Opera 10 does seem to be blazingly fast. It's UI is still a little weird to me, but not as much as it was. I use Opera to test; but my needs are very simple. The little features like "notes" would be handy for some.

Thanks for the link about Vega, JAB. There's some very interesting reading there and it provides a look at what browser developers go through.

Hardware requirements

The hardware back-end of Vega will unfortunately not work on all graphics cards. The good news is that we detect at runtime if your graphics card is supported or not and fallback to the software back-end of Vega if the graphics card is not supported. This means that everything will work regardless of your graphics cards capabilities.

Now that's some thorough development work!

Opera is under 7MB. It would still fit on some floppy disks. ;)

I just did the upgrade from 10 beta 3 to the latest RC. The upgrade process is much much better than it used to be.

Edit: my site preferences are gone...

RC/Final will upgrade the _stable_ release by default, not the beta unless you change to a custom location.
