Opera's M2

Anyone know if Opera is going to improve/update their mail client?

I love M2, but I have never felt like it's out of beta, anyone know what they are planning? Or has it become an unloved stepchild?

I check in with the Opera mail forum [my.opera.com] every once in a while, but haven't seen much about new developments of late.

Major improvements to M2 is being worked on, but won't be in a version until 9.5 or 10.0.

Any links to that news Mitchman? A quick perusal of the Opera site didn't show much for me. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

No link to the news as it's not "official", but it has been said in forum posts. I'm a developer at Opera.

Interesting:
Let's not forget about our beloved Opera Mail. Opera Mail will finally have a new indexing back-end, which will fix the long-standing problem with index and search corruption. We've also spent some time on our IMAP and POP back-ends, adding in some more user-requested functionality. Opera Mail is now faster and more efficient than ever before. A heap of user interface improvements are planned, but it's not clear if they'll be included in Kestrel, Peregrine, or later.

That's something to look forward to.
