I noticed today new pages from major news sites indexed almost immediatly, similar to what Google does.

Yea they certainly are getting faster. I have seen pages from new sites hitting the index within a week or so as well.

You may be getting sites indexed, but I can't get any new sites to rank on Bing at all. It's hopeless. I can get new sites ranked on Google and Yahoo all day long.
What is their problem? Does anyone know?

On an established site that has roughly 800 pages Bing had roughly 300 pages indexed until yesterday, no new pages since Nov 2009, but today Bing has nearly all 800 of them and all the new pages say "1 day ago" on them.
The site is 3 years and 2 weeks old as of tomorrow, perhaps new sites don't get the same treatment?. I came here expecting to find a lot of "Bing update" posts but perhaps it is age related?
