I tried running adCenter Desktop earlier this evening just to get some error message which did not say explicitly that I needed to updater this application nor it did an update, but i simply figured it out that I had to check the latest download.

So I downloaded setup file which is as I type still rumbling through my desktop as the latest adCenter Desktop version comes with:

(All required software will automatically be installed if not present)
• Microsoft Installer 3.5
• Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

I mean, MS, give me a break please and stop installing crap onto my "cute" desktop. If anyone has world class programmers, you do, so can you please figure out such apps without all this BTW software?

I'll see once this is done, and check if I can recognize how many (additional) services will be running on my PC 24/7, just so I can run adCenter Desktop three times a month.

Now it's finally installing the new Desktop app. And, there are two boxes to be checked:

- Help us improve adCenter Desktop by allowing Microsoft to collect information about how you use this program. The data will not be used to identify you.
- I accept the terms in the License Agreement

And the first box is already checked and grayed out! I have no choice but to let you collect that info (I don't really mind, but what the heck about giving a choice while I can't do anything about it)
