I decided when they made IE8 part of the windows update and I saw that Bing is the default search provider they try to force on you that more and more people would end up coming from there.
I may follow suit engine and give adCenter a try.
What I think is funny is, that Microsoft is using Google Adwords to advertise Bing on Google.
In the United States Google is advertising on Bing to promote AdWords for things like PPC. Is that funny too?
Bing is good enough for Google. Maybe it's worth investigating to see if it's good enough for you, too.

Or maybe Google can simply afford to make in-your-face gestures like advertising on a competitor's site. :-)

And we will probably still have to read about Cuil and their 0.000467% market share every few months ;-)
And most folks will continue to think of Cuil as "that Gaelic-language search engine." :-)
..but the Bing share is still less than Yahoo..
For the past 30 days on one of our ecommerce sites. This includes the first 2 days before Bing went live:
Visits..Orders..Refererring URL
31,032..266.....www.google.com/
10,898..74......www.mysite.com/ (internal site links)
5,053...29......www.yahoo.com/
2,392...18......www.bing.com/
2,104...13......shopping.yahoo.com/ (Yahoo shopping searches)
1,801....9......search.yahoo.com/
(For the previous 30 days, before Bing was live:)
31,989..240.....www.google.com/
10,672...61.....www.mysite.com/
5,675....15.....www.yahoo.com/
1,984.....9.....search.yahoo.com/
1,910....12.....shopping.yahoo.com/
1,467.....7.....www.msn.com/
1,308.....5.....search.live.com/
1. Bing hits and sales are higher than combined MSN and Live Search for previous 30 days. Notice that search.yahoo.com has dropped off of the top 5 list in the last 30 days.
2. This list only includes selected relevant URL's that resulted in at least one sale. Mysite.com is combined results from internal links on the ecommerce site, our blog, our forum, and an associated tech info only site.
3. The tracking code does not seem to be working for Bing referrals, or there have been no sales for MSN ads, not sure which - but our MSN ads are only about 1/50th of Google right now.
I think the extended snippets are losing me traffic: it does a good enough summary that a lot of people get what they want from it.
I have added the meta tag to prevent it, but Bing has not reindexed yet. I hope it does so faster than Live did.
Numbers form Analytics using past 30 days vs a 30 picture pre Bing.
When their 100 million campaign is over, Bing will have captured a few search share points from Yahoo ... Google will still be the growing leader.
In addition: Although on some sites I see better incoming traffic through bing, it's still too early to determine the bottom line. The launching dust didn't settle yet.
What Bing IS doing however is displaying MY images with links to sites that have hotlinked the images. Seems like it should be a simple matter to determine which server the images are hosted on but no, Bing seems to thing the site it finds images on is the host. not good.
