MSN sent out invitations this week for a closed beta test for a program that will place text ads on publisher sites called ContentAds [publications.mediapost.com]

Considering how much it costs to get good position on adcenter, not sure that a larger inventory is going to make it worse... So 50 cent clicks for most people might be a fantasy, for a while.

I hope those of you who try it out report back.

Let's not jump the gun here. Microsoft is soliciting advertisers to bid on text ads on MSN's content sites. No publishers are being solicited.
Not yet.
Obviously it will happen. The technology is there. But it won't be for some time.

It doesn't matter, if the relevancy of ContentAds is as relevant as their search results then everyone involved from Advertiser to Publisher will be on welfare before it's over.

MSN at this stage is pretty irrelevant.

MSN does real good by me (organic search), but it's probably likely that their demographic is a good fit for my sites.
