Like Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge is still pushing people away

The launch of Windows 10 provided an opportunity to attract a new audience to Microsoft Edge -- but people are still jumping ship. It's likely that Edge's continued lack of extension support is partly to blame, but usage stats from numerous analysts paint the same picture: Edge is tanking.

I just fired up Edge for the first time on a new machine and thought i'd "set up your favourites" and found the import favourites. However, Edge only sees MSIE as a source of favourites. It doesn't show any of the other browsers on the machine.
Oh dear.
There's no obvious way to import favourites if it doesn't recognise any browser other than Internet Explorer.
Doh!

I don't know about your bookmarks, but i've spend many, many years building my bookmarks, and if i'm going to switch to another browser I want it to be easy.

Guess you'll have to wait for Edge to support extensions. Then you could use something like Xmarks to sync all your bookmarks. Until then it doesn't sound like I'd find Edge all that useful.

I actually love edge. Microsoft really redeemed themselves. However, the lack of extensions really stops me from opening it as my first browser.

Microsoft really redeemed themselves.

What do you base this comment on? What have they redeemed themselves from?

I couldn't find the update button on a Win 10 machine so I navigated to the page online only it blocked my Edge from accessing it, saying that IE was required. :P

I understand they designed Win 10 to no longer need to be manually updated but that sent the wrong message to me as an Edge user.
