Just installed the Win 10 preview with edge browser.

Edge Browser has a nifty button next to favorites called Reading View.

Reading View quickly removes all ads and links of any kind on that page.
Even if you have an image linked to a URL it strips out link.

No navigation in reading view so in order to view more content the button must be clicked again or back button to reveal original page with ads.

Might not be too bad if you click back after reading the reading article and see some relevant Adsense ads that match content of article. (good luck)

On the plus side Adsense loads almost instant, no delay. Really quick loading.

No links whatsoever? Does that mean that site navigation won't work? If so, the feature has very limited use.

No links, no navigation. Just like reading a book.

I think it will be useful on sites with heavy advertising.

If you are trying to read an article and all these ads keep loading, just hit Reading View and they are gone.

I don't think people will use it that much if it strips out navigation.

Firefox has a similar option now. If I am reading a really long post with a ton of distracting ads (particularly ads that slide around or otherwise move) I will use it. For regular browsing, I don't bother.

I thought adsense ads were loading quicker because of edge browser but it seems the ads are loading quicker because of windows ten.

Using chrome with Win 10 ads load blazing fast like edge.

Reading View will probably be a novelty most people will not use.

I've had the Edge [previously Project Spartan] with Windows 10 Preview for quite some time now. If I wanted that look, feel, and crippled tools in a browser, I'd go with Chrome which I only use very occasionally.

IE 11 and Firefox still function as expected for me in Windows 10 Preview. I use each for different purposes.

Reading view is a "new" feature in a number of browsers, but the fact it exists means there is an underlying need/desire for same. Since it is new folks don't know about it yet, but do expect it to gain traction.

the way forward (for publishers and advertisers, is to keep their presentations reasonable and none intrusive.

There is another reason for reading view, readability, reader view: Site layout/font size. All too often I resort to these tools simply because the fonts are too small.

If Reading View (that changes the content of website) is allowed I don't see how Knowledge Graph should be illegal; ie. now it's clear Google / Bing can take the entire page and host it (after removing what's needed) within the Knowledge Boxes.

I tried using the Firefox version for a day and got so frustrated by having to go back and forth, especially when it removed images referenced in the text, that I gave up using it and I am sure there will be many others who will do the same over time.
