Site displays incorrectly & very slow in I.E.

Hi,

I have built a small website for a client in wordpress [aptstudios.co.uk...]

It displays fine for me in all browsers and also loads ok in all browsers. But when the client views it on his PC in I.E. 8 I believe it takes ages to load compared with Chrome and Firefox and also one of the portfolio images on the front page is misaligned. I have seen it in action myself and it is a real issue but have looked at it on a number of other machines and it is fine. The client says it is also problematic on a couple of other machines but unfortunately I can't replicate the issue and therefore can't get to the bottom of the problem.

I would appreciate anyones feedback on this point and also if you are experiencing problems with it could you let me know browser version and operating system etc

I only noticed a slight (0.5 second) delay in IE 8 compared to FF, Chrome, Opera and Safari.

Page has 3 validation errors but they seem insignificant to loading.

A quick check at GTMetrix (Page Speed, YSlow! & timeline) showed many opportunities for speed improvement. I'd be concerned about the lengthy blocking as it's adding a lot to the page load time (2.2 seconds).

You have various side resources that don't exist. What's worse is the site returns a 404 custom page for each of these requests which leads to a complete theme rendering.

When I tested it here, it takes nearly 10secs to fully load the home page.

thanks for that. Could you let me know what you are using to show the side resources that don't exist please.

I use a customized spider that can check the headers and requests from links found, images and other resources in a page.
