Microsoft has added record and transcribe capability to Microsoft Word 365, along with dictate with voice commands.Voice commands are coming to Word desktop and Word for Mac apps towards the end of the year for Microsoft 365 subscribers.
Currently, there is a five hour limit per month for uploaded recordings and each uploaded recording is limited to 200mb. Transcribe in Office mobile will be coming by the end of the year! Currently, transcribing audio into English (EN-US) is the only language supported, but we are working on support for more languages.

Word is up to 365 now? Wow. I never got past 5.1. (Installed 6, but disliked it so much I promptly reverted.)

You kidder, you! :)

Word is up to 10+ ... but I'm still using 2002 (with 2010 on a different machine), though my fav remains WordPerfect 5.1 DOS (and still is, but on a creaking 486 I keep for old times sake ... and the ORIGINAL SOLITAIRE, of course ... it's a Win3.1 for Workgroups machine).
