Microsoft still accepts Bitcoin, apologizes for ‘inaccurate information’ on its site

Microsoft has now clarified to us that nothing has changed.

“We continue to support Bitcoin for adding money to your Microsoft Account which can be used for purchasing content in the Windows and Xbox stores,” a Microsoft spokesperson told VentureBeat. “We apologize for inaccurate information that was inadvertently posted to a Microsoft site, which is currently being corrected.”

Danged if I will and danged if I won't. Can it be that they don't have an EDITOR IN CHARGE who has a clue? Chuckles.

It did seem to be quite deliberate given that they had a page with an explanation, but who knows what sort of publishing routines or regulations they have there for their site.

I think all of us, at one time or another, have published something we either did not vet, were gullible, or etc and ended up with regrets, but this one from MS takes the cake as it hits their bottom line (ie. making money!).

Pretty sure somebody is on the carpet right now!

That appears to be a major slip up in communications by Microsoft.

Bitcoins are still good!
