I know it's going to sound negative and repetitious but any and all social interactions should be through distributed peer-to-peer web applications. The nosey folks at for-profit mega corporations cannot be trusted. No thanks Microsoft but thanks for the offer anyway.

It's like there is a new one popping up every month somewhere. People's attention is already fragmented enough trying to keep track of all their user accounts and passwords scattered everywhere.

Wow, looks really good (probably some people will say it is pinterest) so it needs a different branding. I have used the Bing social search [bing.com...] previously.

Wow, its not like anything I've ever used before. A combination of a search engine, an "info compiler", and a way to make something beautiful. Nice.

I did find something interesting from that link SEOPTI threw in. On that page we can click a pin "See recent tweets on Bing Twitter Maps". Zoom out to the world view and you can see the areas where twitter is most popular. Not much action from my neck of the woods. But I guess population proportion to last 100 tweets has to be taken into account.

Perhaps not as much as it might seem, I watched TV a little tonight and the ONLY social sites any channel or personality wanted me to hook up with them on were Twitter and Facebook. One is like instant messages, the other has a profile... the rest seem to be redundant according to what I saw.

I'd love to read about some cutting edge features in socl that will make it a cut above but the establishment is already set so it would have to be something fantastic indeed.

P.S. ANY personal information gathered by ANY social site has monetary value for site owners, advertisers and product sellers and that's why they will continue coming out of the woodwork. Getting people to give it up voluntarily as part of a service is extremely profitable.
