An interesting video interview, and Steve Ballmer is his normal effervescent self.
Microsoft's chief boss has confirmed he plans to release more devices.

Steve Ballmer told the BBC: "Is it fair to say we're going to do more hardware? Obviously we are... Where we see important opportunities to set a new standard, yeah we'll dive in."

The chief executive's comments came ahead of a Windows 8 launch event in New York, following which Microsoft's Surface tablet will go on sale.

it seems the media thinks you don't do anything to innovate unless people stand in long lines and you have 100000 ads per day about your products.

I can think of far more tech that changes our life that nobody even knows about... then silly old apple.

The device market has become a fashion market as it penetrates the general consumer base. So hype, ads, buzz, lines. C'est la vie.
