Well, he's been on medical leave quite a bit over the past year and it doesn't seem to have impacted Microsoft's profits. As he'll still be Chairman of the Board his influence will still be felt. Personally I don't foresee much impact on Microsoft itself.

With the change of CEO now, I am looking forward for brand new ideas for Apple. Perhaps they would venture into adding Flash in their products as opposed by Steve.
Is it final that Steve is the new Chairman of the Board? I'm sure they will be considering it but I am just curious if his body can cope up with the changes.
