Cool looking site. Anyone tried this out?

I was a bit confused as first when reading the title of this thread.

MS has had a CMS available for years. But this is an "open source" CMS. That is definitely something new.

Man.. first it was the 'little person icons' craze of a few years back. Now everybody wants to copy twitter and make their site look like a web 2.0 teletubbies design. I realize some positivity is required in design these days, but why would anyone who's responsible for making decisions on CMS react positively to a kindergarten-themed site?

Is there any history of security issues?

It would be nice to deploy a CMS that doesn't draw bots/hackers like WP.

This is an Alpha release, that utilizes a Beta version of the MVC framework for ASP.NET 3.5. It is hot stuff for .NET geeks but is not for the uninitiated.

You might want to wait before deploying or making CMS decisions. Wait until the paint dries first. ;)

It's so new there's no history at all, so there's no history of security issues. So it must be unhackable :-)

I'm curious - what reasons can we think of to choose an open-source CMS from MSFT over any of the other open-source CMSes out there?

flyerguy, I've had an opportunity to see the guts of DNN about 4-5 years back, and then again not too far back with a newer release...and it was bloated and slow. I just clicked on several "feature" sites, and they are still slow, so still NAY for DNN.

It would be very interesting to see how Oxite does
