It blocks virtually all ads, adwords, yahoo ads, msn ads, affiliate ads, etc. It does not require any third-party add-on.
Just wonder what will happen if MS puts a feature in Windows that allows users to get rid of all ads.
Will that kill Google or bring tons of lawsuits?
:)
Few Internet users really like ads, they simply *accept* ads. But they will be happy if there is no ads, as well.
This feature will kill some M$'s revenue, not that much. But it will kill much G$'s revenue.

Yes, and Microsoft will be sued in a nano-second after they release such a thing - you should remember that Microsoft is a convicted monopoly and any attempt to undermine competitor in such an unfair way would certainly lead to very tragic consequences for Microsoft.
I don't think it would work either anyway - Firefox is a very serious threat and if Google refused to serve search results to IE users until they upgrade then it could seriously tip the balance - but the latter is also nuclear option that will backfire unless Google is under serious unfair attack.
Anyway, it would be a feature that is disabled by default, and it would be a fair play: it applies to all ads, including m$'s.
And once again, many users will like this feature. For those who are against this feature, just turn it off, just a few clicks away.
