The latest Microsoft Windows 10 patch Tuesday update is rolling out and is fixing a Windows zero-day vulnerability. It includes fixes for 112 security bugs across a range of Microsoft products.

The zero-day vulnerability "was being exploited together with a Chrome zero-day to target Windows 7 and Windows 10 users.

Attackers would use the Chrome zero-day to run malicious code inside Chrome and then use the Windows zero-day to escape the Chrome security sandbox and elevate the code's privileges to attack the underlying OS."

One reason not to use "chrome?" :)

Alas, there are growing pains and fixes for every step forward. Interesting that Win 7 is included ... thought that was over and done with for updates... or did I misread the report?

Hang in there, kiddies, "this too will pass!"
