A new report indicates that Windows 10 has finally surpassed Windows 7 share of the market and now becomes the most popular PC operating system. A previous report a year ago suggested the same, but only Microsoft actually knows. So far, Microsoft has not commented.

That Windows 7 just won't go, will it!

I'm thinking some of those old laptops just don't have the capacity for 10 and updates were disabled?

I have a son-in-law who continues to use Win 7 on his home desktop. Why?

He is a senior government manager who will often take a day off to actually work at home - where free of phone calls, visits, questioners - he can actually accomplish more than in a normal 5 day week. He can churn out more reports in one day...

Yes his government PC has Win 7

Microsoft have special contracts with these organisations to provide updates/security where necessary.

Contrary to a common mis-belief there is nothing particularly special about Windows 10 in a business environment. Stuff enthusiasts might get excited about are all too often stripped out of the business version by the IT specialists at the XYZ Corporation.
