Microsoft has spoken about its plans for end-to-end security for Windows 10, and how it intends to better lock down the OS from malicious attacks.

The Windows 10 fall Creators Update will utilise new security analytics to analyze configurations and Windows 10 security patch status.

Windows Defender is going to become a more important part of the OS, with the Exploit Guard.

It's worth reading the full article on the Windows blog.

Good stuff, thanks for the article engine.

I trust Windows Defender. I've used nothing but the Windows security for several years now.

In the past I always recommended one of several 3rd party anti-virus programs to my clients; basically whatever was in my favor at the time. However, when I saw a friend's machine get disabled on startup because of the lag time loading the 3rd party security software, I changed my approach.

Especially on Windows 10, Microsoft seems to be proactive and ahead of the threats.
