Anyone help with this?

Windows 10 that was working fine...
I had some malware/adware downloaded and although having removed it I now have this error..
a blank screen AFTER logging into my user account - I have tried creating a second user account I get the same....
if I press ctrl+alt+del to task manager and file run.. then by typing in explorer.exe (as admin) I can access my files..
I have also noticed a "Windows Host Settings" icon now appeared on my task bar which wasn't there before...

I am concerned that the pc might crash and I lose access to everything and also concerned that residual malware might be present....

I have run Kaspersky, Hitman Pro and Malwarebytes... all okay
I have reinstalled windows 10 (saving files and personal settings) but the problem remains...

There are so many things that could be going on there, but, as I understand it, it may require you editing regedit to add explorer.exe back in there. explorerer.exe was probably removed by the malware.
I found something about this a while back can't find it again right now. I'll keep digging.

Thanks engine +
NOW RESOLVED!
I had tried everything I could think of and after a THIRD scan of Malawarebytes over several days (the first one removed items - the second was clear) there was a 'userinnit' file and removing that fixed the problem...

Splendid!

Those pesky malware programs can be most persistent!
