So here I am wondering -- How many of you, or of those you know, woke up last Monday to discover that your Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 had been replaced by Windows 10?

Fiends in Florida did - Office manager was pretty upset about it all, accusing staff of upgrading without permission --
My son was another one -- "Hey Dad", he said, "My computer is broken."

Somewhere along the way, Windows 10 went from being optional, to being important -- July is looming, and the change in update status can only mean one thing -- Microsoft is desperate to get as many copies of Windows 10 as possible on to as many machines as possible, before the July deadline.

Windows 10 is seemingly no longer just an optional update. Windows Update will install that thing now, while you sleep -- For your convenience -- of course.

Not many know how to hide an update in Windows - Not that it would help at all really -- I hid my Son's Windows 10 update after rolling him back to Win 7 Pro and I've twice had to hide it again in order to keep his machine from updating to 10. Turning off auto-update and going in to do the updates manually might do the trick for now, or at least until the July deadline passes.
