Win 10 internet free update DOOM

Did that happen? The Doom part?

There were many reservations offered to the WIN 10 rollout and upgrade. So far, all seems pretty quiet and orderly, a few odd video/sound drivers failing, but otherwise spot on.

No reports of lost programs that I can find. Then again, I'm not doing a huge search on this. Just wondering what you or your clients have encountered.

MS did publish a list of their programs to be removed. So, in that respect it was known.

Also they published that they will be removing any paid Anti-Virus programs that are EXPIRED and replacing them with Windows Defender.

I'm sure there will be whiners looking for their Solitaire to be reinstalled (from MS Store).

Yeah the "express settings" were pretty awful, I disabled just about anything but most users probably won't bother, so that's a huge amount of data coming Microsoft's way.

Other than that, Windows 10 is running pretty smoothly, except for a Print Spooler running amok. Don't even have a printer. And it takes an oddly large amount of time to launch the calculator.

A couple of my clients failed to shut down Cortana... and info is leaking like a sieve to MS. what they have on their systems, and what they search on the web.

Our mls software provider has warned us not to upgrade because their software is not yet compatable. There are probably real estate agents all over the us who can not work right now because of this update.

Microsoft wants to give me Windows 10 for free! Hooray for freebies! OK, some of my software no longer launches or works quite the way it’s supposed to, but I got used to that after upgrading to Windows 8, and then again with Windows 8.1.

Free software, yay! Give it away, now!
