I presume NT 6.2 would be Windows 8 or is there a different OS under development that is suspected to be released before Windows 8?

Hmm, where did you get that build number? in a website log?

Yes, the statistics script I've built based on three logs (very recent blog entry about it actually on my site). If something falls through the filters it'll be listed in a noticeable way and I'll know I have to update how I categorize something in the filters of my statistics. I imagine if it is legit (the IP does resolve to a Microsoft host) then it's likely someone on a build of Windows 8 possibly.

There is a Wikipedia entry [en.wikipedia.org] for it that redirects to a Windows 8 section in the History of Microsoft Windows, so I think it's likely that this is Windows 8.

I've been seeing things like this in my logs since July 2010. Both of the below UAs were seen within seconds of each other on December 26, 2010. I don't put much stock in it being a legit part of Windows 8.
