Microsoft Releases Blog Entry Regarding Recent Outlook 2007 Update

A US-CERT notification [us-cert.gov] came through this morning notifying of the recent MS update that has been causing some Outlook 2007 users issues and that MS has posted a blog entry [blogs.msdn.com] with more information:

The blog entry indicates that this update has been removed from
Microsoft Update. Users who have previously applied the update and are
experiencing any of the listed issues are encouraged to uninstall the
December 2010 update as described in the blog entry.

I believed you all along coopster. ;)

I see from the MS blog entry that my Exchange account probably saved me from the bad effects of this particular update.

MS is only suggesting that you uninstall this particular update if you are experiencing issues. If not, I guess it's safe to leave it in place.

Thanks for that - I have unsintalled it for the second time - at least it will not automatically reinstall intself this time (B2412171)

I noticed an updated patch came through yesterday. I let it apply and seems the problem was resolved ...

Fixes for issues with December Update for Outlook 2007 have been released.
