their strategy has always been ignore the laws on this ..roll out anyway ..then when the user base is huge and a virtual monopoly ..hope that the legislatures back of and change the law to save chaos ..
having said that I loathe the realplayer and it's attempts on instalation to take over everything that your OS doesnt have welded shut ..
Microsoft still reacts like it wants to drive on the other side of the road to everyone else though ..and because it's by far the biggest thing on the road it's attitude is we are gonna do it anyway ..you all have to switch to accomodate us ..or there'll be a wreck ..
and it will be spun by MS to look like the USA v the EU ..which it isnt ..only have to look at who is against it ..the rest of the world ( except for the worst AV makers ) and 95 % of the USA's software companies ..
I'm not saying that Microsoft's business practices are all squeaky clean. However, when given the choice the EU consumer doesn't seem to care much for the fruits of the EU court's labor.
the chioce when you could find it ..was like " here is the frog ..and there past the dragons and the fire and the monsters is the princess" .."you got 10 seconds for the kiss" .."and no asbestos suit without a 10 week wait" .."now choose" ..most folks went for the frog ..
and like I said ..personally if the deal had been bundled with real player I would have called that the toad ..
I chose princess ..I was in no hurry for XP ..
