Wrong memorized Network Key

Using Dell Inspiron 6000 with Windows XP trying to access local strong signal secure WiFi hub. Network Key shows a memorized 8-dots key. I overwrite with the correct 10-digit key in both blanks and submit. It doesn't work. In the past it has worked but after I once requested Earthlink webmmail to remember my password it has not worked. How do I clear the incorrectly remembered network key?

Do you have a firewall in place or have you enabled encryption on the hub?

Exactly where are you entering this key?

A webmail password would be remembered by your browser or other software. It has nothing to do with wireless networking, so that wouldn't be a factor.

A good software to help you find and connect to wireless access points is NetStumbler. You can set it to auto-configure your card.
