Early adopter: Microsoft’s Windows 10 will support up to 8K displays

When Windows 8 shipped, Microsoft was dinged from multiple corners for its lackluster display scaling and multi-monitor support. Some of these issues were patched up when Microsoft released Windows 8.1, and the company is apparently reaching even further with Windows 10, which will launch with support for up to 8K resolutions in the box.

I'm falling behind the times in screen resolutions. From the title, I thought Windoze 10 would support 8,000 monitors.

And people think I'm greedy when I use 3 monitors at once.

Windows 8 already supports 4K (resolution) monitors. They're making sure that they have early software support for these 'standards' even before there's much hardware available.

The focus on media is a look-ahead on MS's part. So far, what I've seen if 10 is a clear leap forward compared to the two steps forward from 7 to 8
