After installing version 7.0, the battery life on my watch nose-dived. I would charge it to 100% and then about 3 hours later it would warn me that there was less then 10% remaining.

The Solution is to unpair from the iPhone and then pair the watch with your iPhone again. Now the battery life is even better then it was before the update.
