Apple has reported revenues of $52.9 billion for the quarter, with services growing 18% to more than $7 billion, year on year.
However, it appears that Apple sold fewer iPhones and iPads, compared to this time last year.

Perhaps market saturation, and lack of wow factor for the new iphones and ipads.

Either way, the iOS sector is still important to webmasters.

...with services growing 18%...

It's been interesting to watch the concept of "software as a service" be accepted. ("Accepted," as in, "forced down our throat.") It's getting to be like credit and debit cards, where these firms are asking to be paid a tiny amount (but always slightly growing) to "enhance" what we do, every day. I worry.

It seems all companies are going to go this way as soon as they can. Microsoft is another example. No doubt, Google will make some more moves that way now that it's captured its audience.

Having said that, my wife uses an iPhone and she does not use any of the "services."
