Has this iOS 8 problem bruised Apple's seemingly blemish-free appearance.

We know it's had problems in the past, and they are usually sorted in quick time (excuse the pun), but as Apple becomes more commonplace, with massive first few days sales of its phones, will customers become disillusioned? I'm sure, at the very least, they will be frustrated.

We have a workaround for you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you lost cellular service and Touch ID functionality today after updating to iOS 8.0.1. You can reinstall iOS 8 through iTunes by following the instructions below. We are also preparing iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it's ready in the next few days.Apple Says iOS 8.0.2 Fix Due In A Couple Of Days [support.apple.com]

Well, yes, although as far as I was concerned, they lost their rep about four years ago. I no longer update to the new OS or iOS quickly. I wait months.

There's an iOS 8? I've assiduously avoided looking at the update tab ever since falling for 7, which I don't like. The ### thing doesn't even look pretty.

4 to 5 was essential, 5 to 6 was meh...

Well, with 8.0.2 Apple believe will get them out of trouble.

I'm so surprised that the problems have been relatively big. Early adopters must be rethinking that long wait in lines.

lucy24, that is the opposite of an early adopter! ;)
