I'm not sure what you mean by "playing up" but I have no problem accessing GA with Safari Version 5.0 (6533.16).

What is it you are seeing... or not seeing?

Ought to work with Chrome. (small joke, sorry)

There are quite a few problems with analytics when I use Safari. First, I get an error message at the top stating "This page has encountered an error that may prevent it from working correctly." and none of my website profile show

Then, if I go to one of my profiles (using the drop-down menu instead), then I find after about 3 or 4 pages, I get logged-out and have to sign-in again

I could use a different browser, of course, but sometimes I like to use Safari - so would be better if thee was a solution (fix the bug), rather than a workaround (change browser)

I have seen "This page has encountered an error that may prevent it from working correctly." a lot using FireFox, but the site seems to work well in spite of that warning.

I have never experienced the logged-out problem though.

Have you reported the problem to Google?

I'm seeing those errors too, Safari 5, Leopard (no snow).

There was an issue with the same error message going around last year for Firefox on XP, where the solution was to set the date & time of the computer, of all things. So this could be an OS setting or a browser issue.
