I'm a bit new to our (recently purchased) xServe. In a normal *nix configuration I am quite able to add new users to the 'usr' config file, in attributing each a 'caged' folder to which they are confined upon login, but I am finding that doing the same in the xServe is a bit more complicated due to its use of Open Directory and lookupd. In addition, my users will have only ssh access to the server.
Can anyone give me some pointers, or direct me to a tutorial/web site on the subject?
Many thanks in advance.
I would like to upgrade to OpenSSH v.5.1 (as it includes the 'chrootDirectory' directive needed for the manip), but I am not sure how to proceed because of my lack of knowledge about Leopard's needs/dependencies for the SSH protocol. Again, has anyone made this upgrade with any success? Thanks.
