Push email, calendar, and contacts with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

Purchasable applications from many developers.

Maps on iPhone 3G combines GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell tower location technology with the Multi-Touch interface to create the best mobile map application ever.

I just found this out at the Apple Store. The 16 GB iPhone is going to be cheaper than the 16 GB iPod Touch, but the iPod will get the software upgrade as well so it will integrate the mail upgrades as well as the App Store where you can buy 3rd party apps.

Available in the UK from July 11th too.

Prices about double the US price (but way cheaper then the old model), unless you sign up to the highest tariffs.

Double the price? Wow. How much is the monthly fee? The new phones here will be $70.00 per month for 3g instead of the present $60.00
