Google Adds Messaging in Maps for Local Businesses

More local changes were announced by Google in Maps app with Messages in the side menu.

as long as a local business has enabled messages, you’ll be able to connect with them in a tap.

Businesses that want to use this facility need to install the My Business App [blog.google...]

That would help many small businesses that can deal with the messages. Larger companies would need to check if their messaging platform can communicate with this. Another recent offering has been popular at my employer. It enables you to mark a Post as an Offer.

Yes good point, I've been asked about this and some users don't realize they need to download the app to leverage messaging.
