Remote Ctrl-C problem using Debian VPS

could ssh tunnel be the reason?

New Debian VPS. Access via SSH to console and to XFCE GUI via Remmina (and by Thunar etc).

ClipMan clipboard works well but...

The local clipboard managers, including ClipMan and Glipper, show data selected on the remote VPS but not put onto clipboard by Ctrl-C. This is a) annoying and b) a security hazard. The same does not happen with a remote Mint VPS through an SSH tunnel.

Sync Selections not ticked
Ignore Selections ticked
Store last image (tried both yes and no)

Anyone got any solutions/suggestions, please?

Could be that the Spring weather has people distracted?

Maybe it is the other way around. There have been bug reports filed in recent years that data in Reminna was not copied to the clipboard. It could be that your Mint setup has this bug, but it was fixed in your new Debian setup.

@lammert - No, the Ubuntu/Mint/Manjaro clipboard behaves as expected - ie a selection is not copied to the clipboard without specific action - eg Ctrl-C. Assuming the settings as I've given them above, of course. That has always been the case, so I must have missed that bug. :)

I have, for now, turned off Clipboard Sync in Remmina's Advanced pane, but of course I cannot now paste between local and remote machines. Not a tremendous problem since I sometimes use a "clipboard.txt" file located on the remote servers and accessed by an editor either end, but still an annoyance. Original reason fot the file: I seldom actually use Copy-To-Clipboard; my wife, on another machine, uses it constantly and I hate to annoy her with my own pastings! :)

Thanks but apart from the fact debian doesn't use parcellite (which I thought was obsolete now!), the problem is not quite as described in that article.
