Microsoft's Defender Advanced Threat Protection is now available for Linux.
Microsoft Defender ATP offers preventive protection, post-breach detection and automated investigation and response for Windows and macOS. Today we’re announcing support for Linux and plans for iOS and Android as well.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the introduction of the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) under Windows 10 and Server 2019. With a full-featured Linux system under the hood, a Windows system may become vulnerable for Linux related security problems.
As a side note, more information about the Android and iOS Defender developments in this separate thread [webmasterworld.com].
