Those of you that frequent the Ubuntu forums will, perhaps, be aware of a recent hack, on July 14 this year. If you're not aware, you might want to enlighten yourself. It was a hack into the vBulletin software, which has since been patched.
What people want to know is whether sensitive information was extracted. It seems the hacker didn't get plain text passwords, but may have gotten e-mails and usernames.
This goes to show the importance of making sure the system has the most up-to-date iterations of the software.
