I've been using mandriva for over a decade now, first on my servers then later on all my desktops.
But with the latest release, it seems Mandriva is dying a slow death. Might be time to bail and move to a new distro.
But the things I love about mandriva don't seem common in other distro's. I get a paid (yet low cost) version that has all the non-free drivers I want. I also get both a system I can use on my desktop, but one I can use on my server. The ability to use identical distro on my desktop and my webserver has been fabulous. It looks like that's changing though.
Ubuntu seems big on the desktop. Fedora seems big on the server side of things.
Am I going to have to go with two different distros going forward, one for my desktop and one for my servers?
