probably the latest kernel is available for download with the latest release.
try and compare your version with those provided here:
[centos.org...]

kernel-2.6.18-92.1.1.el5.src.rpm 60346 KB 03/06/2008 16:10:00

this seems like the new version, but that's for CentOS 5.1
maybe try the forum over at CentOS site.

uname -a

OR:

rpm -qa ¦ grep kernel

My result:
grep-2.5.1-32.3
kernel-2.6.9-67.0.7.EL
kernel-2.6.9-67.0.15.EL
kernel-2.6.9-67.EL

...but this only tells me what version I have.

Mander, I think I am on 4. (4 is still able to be used without security problems, right?)
How do I check these without having to register to a new forum (preferably)? :)

To see kernel version just type command uname -mrs :

Linux 2.6.22-14-generic i686

Linux - Linux OS
2.6.22-14 - Linux kernel version
i686 - Hardware architecture

Doesn't that just tell me the version I have, though?

My problem is I cannot find on Centos (or anywhere else for that matter) what the latest release version is.. so I can keep myself up to date.
