because my ISP has disabled the ICMP protocol, I can not use ping and tracert under windows now.

I have heard that there is command under linux which use UDP protocol instead of ICMP protocol and it has the same function as ping/tracert under windows.

Is there anybody who can tell me that? and if it has a windows edtion?

Thanks.

I think arping would come in handy, but that is a *nix tool using ARP - I don't know of a windows equivalent. There are many web-based tools you can try, if that's an option for you?

ping and traceroute are the Unix/Linux commands, but they both rely on ICMP just like their Windows equivalents.
